PROOF OF GOD FROM GOD
We should approach the idea of "proof of God from God" with a focus on the future revelation of God rather than traditional philosophical proofs. The emphasis is to be God's self-revelation in history, particularly in the suffering, death, and resurrection of Christ, and the hope for the future Kingdom of God. Attempts to prove God's existence through abstract reasoning or metaphysical proofs fall short, emphasizing instead that God reveals Himself in concrete historical events, especially in the crucifixion and resurrection.
God is not a distant entity to be proven through logic but one who enters into human suffering and promises a future of redemption. In *The Crucified God*, Jurgen Moltmann highlights the cross as a decisive moment where God’s true nature is revealed in weakness and suffering. Any "proof" of God, from this perspective, would thus center around God's self-disclosure in the Christ event and the ongoing transformation of the world through the promise of new creation.
Therefore, rather than seeking to "prove" God in philosophical terms, we should understand God as one who offers Himself in revelation, love, and the hope for future fulfillment. The real "proof" of God comes from God's active engagement in history, especially in the hope of resurrection and eschatological fulfillment, where God's full reality will be unveiled.
